Started by Oxfam, Secondhand September began to try and encourage people explore and try out buying only secondhand for the entirety of September.
Now, as a lot of you will know if you have read any of my previous blog posts – I LOVE shopping secondhand. Wether it be in person or online, it’s my jam. Admittedly this is much, much harder as a plus size person but that’s a whole seperate discussion.
So far this September I have stuck to my pledge and solely shopped secondhand but with the c-word lingering and social distancing in place I have avoided any in-person shopping trips and only purchased the odd couple of items online.
The purpose of this blog is to show you what kind of looks can be created using secondhand finds and breaking that stigma that secondhand clothing is all old and tatty and for those over the age of 75. Any age, any style, you can do it!
